About me

So, I first got into all things gastronomic when I started dating Mr.N around six years ago. He is a lover of all foods and his cooking skills put mine firmly to shame, Mr.N makes his own curries, duck pancakes and even chicken kievs from scratch. I know, I did well didn’t I? Coming from an East African Asian background you might think my love for food started at an early age perhaps. No. My mother is known for eating only three types of food: Indian, fish and chips and surprisingly, Nando’s! I wish I was joking. Holidays as a child were always interesting, we would hunt down a curry house, be it in Hong Kong, Dubai or South Africa, mother would have her madras curry and roti and then we would swiftly move onto a local cuisine eatery.
As my blog title gives away, I am a lawyer and this blog is partly a product of my job, funny enough. I read The Lawyer every week, it’s basically our version of Hello. In this publication you get to read about which firms are merging together, which lawyer is getting sued for the fifth time, what jobs are up for grabs etc etc. One day whilst reading, I came across one of the most inspiring and wittiest articles I had ever read. The article was written by Nicky Richmond aka The Food Judge and author of ‘The Lawyer Eats’, a column featured in The Lawyer. Her blogs are a culinary roller coaster, full of laughs and bursts of her razor sharp observations in some of London’s top trending restaurants. I immediately felt compelled to email her to ask for any tips on starting my own blog. She very cordially responded giving me one simple tip: just put pen to paper and get writing away. Albeit a year later (qualifying into my job, throwing a big fat Indian wedding and house hunting all got in the way of the union of pen to paper) here I am hoping to entertain to you with some of my own foodie adventures in London and beyond.

Watch this space for some interesting Dubai, New York, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Mumbai restaurant reviews!

Enjoy!
